Annecto Telecom, a global VoIP network operator based in the United Kingdom has deployed Oculeus's Captura SMS solution for its new SMS hubbing service.

Oculeus, a leading provider of OSS/BSS solutions said that the new SMS hubbing service provides an advanced SMS trading platform on carrier-grade infrastructure offering mobile network operators, SMS aggregators and enterprise customers direct and wholesale routes.

Annecto Telecom’s SMS hubbing service supports A2P and P2P SMS services, allowing mobile network operators to increase their SMS-based traffic and revenues.

Annecto Telecom currently provides network infrastructure and telecommunications services to over 250 mobile network operators, PTTs, Tier 1 carriers and niche service providers. The company has built and operates state-of-the-art VoIP and TDM networks. Annecto Telecom primarily provides voice-based aggregation and termination services and also offers a range of additional voice, mobile, retail, VAS and managed network services.

For the past five years, Annecto Telecom has been using the Captura Voice system from Oculeus as its main business solution to manage its wholesale voice business unit. Annecto Telecom recently extended its usage of Oculeus’ Captura solutions and deployed the Capurta SMS system to support its newly launched SMS hubbing service.

Captura SMS is an OSS/BSS system for managing SMS traffic on interconnect and wholesale networks. Captura SMS provides Annecto Telecom the business and operational framework to manage pricing, routing, rating, reporting and billing for its SMS hubbing service.

VJ Odedra, Group CEO, Annecto Telecom
Like most telcos, voice-over-data and OTT services have eroded our voice-based business, which has forced us to look for new sources of revenue.

Arnd Baranowski, CEO, Oculeus
The need for telcos to diversify their service offerings and revenue sources is clear and Annecto is an excellent example of how this can be accomplished.
