Mahindra, a global leader in digital transformation solutions and services, has selected VoltDB to drive the company's next-generation Customer Value Solutions and Operation Support System (OSS) solutions.

With the ability to handle the speed and scale of mobile data streams, the VoltDB database platform enables Mahindra to embed actionable machine learning algorithms within its software solutions. By automating more intelligent decisions in real-time, the VoltDB-powered OSS allows leading telecommunications providers to create better, more profitable customer experiences.

As telecommunication providers build out their networks, it's important to build brand loyalty through differentiation and customer experience. Consumers prioritize convenience and price when selecting a service provider, and late or inaccurate offers can quickly ruin customer relationships and push them to competitors. It is therefore critical for telecommunication providers to reach consumers with hyper-personalized offers in real time, at the precise moment the offer is relevant to ensure retention. With VoltDB, Mahindra can now power its machine learning capabilities to offer its telecom customers the ability to execute on real-time offers, driving increased revenue and improved experience.

A recent VoltDB study found that the database platform processed three million transactions per second with a latency of less than five milliseconds, the results of which indicate the current need for telecom companies to shift their data strategies to prioritize real-time analytics.

Many organizations have been attempting to retrofit existing data strategies, overextending database tools into applications that they weren't initially designed for. VoltDB has the capability to power any software solution for intelligent, complex data analytics in real time, and ultimately automate decision-making with machine learning capabilities.
