WebRTC

WebRTC (web-based Real-time Communications) refers to browser-based communication for voice, video and text communications. Via browser-based programming interface, browsers are able to send and receive voice, video, text and files on the web without the need for additional applications such as chat or voice over-the-top applications(OTT) applications.

WebRTC allows not only users of the same browsers to communicate with each other, but also enables different browsers (for example, Chrome and Firefox, to communicate with each other)
