OTT Music

Over-the-Top(OTT) Music refers to various online music services that enable subscribers to either download or stream music on their end devices such as computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets. OTT Music is available as both free and premium services.

OTT music download services allow users to download songs or tunes onto their devices for a small fee and allow them to access these even when their devices are not connected to the Internet. The songs or tunes are stored locally on their devices, either on an app or the music player software.

For OTT streaming music services, users must download the relevant apps and create user accounts. With premium services where monthly subscriptions are required, users can access millions of tracks from large music libraries. These applications typically allow songs to be downloaded and stored in them, for as long as the subscription package allows it, enabling users to play, rewind, forward and replay these songs, regardless of whether they are online or offline.

OTT streaming music services are today commonly bundled as part of mobile operators’ content bundles, and are becoming a growing channel for music content world over.
