LTE-Unlicensed (LTE-U)

LTE Unlicensed is the use of spectrum in the 5 GHz band to augment capacity for 4G LTE via the carrier aggregation technology.

It allows Mobile Operators to increase cell capacity using LTE-U smallcells which are typically deployed to serve high density areas, promising efficiency and enhanced mobility.
