WiGig

WiGig (Wireless Gigabit Alliance) is an IEEE 802.11ad WiFi standard that enables multi-gigabit speed wireless communications over the unlicensed 60 GHz frequency band.

The technology enables devices to communicate at multi-gigabit speeds while being light on battery consumption, and therefore significantly increasing a device's battery life.

With multi-gigabits speeds, WiGig delivers speeds up to 10 times faster compared to WiFi.
