Vodafone Spain has announced the availability of commercial 5G services in four new cities - Toledo, Castellón de la Plana, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Thanks to this new deployment, the citizens in these cities can now enjoy download speeds of up to 1Gbps, with a latency of less than 10 milliseconds under ideal conditions.

Vodafone Spain said it will continue to make the 5G network available to its customers with the fastest download speeds thanks to the fact that it has the largest contiguous spectrum in the 3.5 Ghz band. With Toledo, Castellón, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Vodafone Spain reaches 25 cities with its 5G network.

In all cities, Vodafone Spain claims that its 5G coverage reaches more than 50% of the population. On the other hand, Vodafone Spain has the widest catalog of terminals on the market with more than 40 smartphones.

Since the commercial launch of its 5G network in Spain, Vodafone has been developing numerous business use cases over 5G networks, taking advantage of the high speed, low latency and high capacity of this technology. There are already more than 130 5G use cases in collaboration with institutions and companies, consolidating the largest ecosystem of partners for the development of 5G solutions in Europe.
