Russia's Beeline said it has doubled the pace of construction of new base stations compared to the same period last year and implemented major infrastructure modernization projects.

Over the past three years, Beeline has been increasing its network capacity in Moscow and the regions of Russia on a quarterly basis. Since the beginning of 2018, the operator has built more 4G base stations than in the rest of the company's history, increasing their number by more than 2.5 times. In the 1st quarter of 2021, Beeline continued to increase the pace of network development, expanding the capacity of the infrastructure in advance to meet the growing demands of customers.

The capacity and coverage of the network was increased both in large cities and in small towns. The new base stations are built using modern signal coding technology, which further expands the network capacity and improves the quality of service for users. With new base stations, customers are using even more mobile internet, said the operator.

Beeline said it will continue to launch new technologies in the regions. For example, the company plans to introduce VoLTE technology on a new platform in 28 regions of Russia in 2021. Using VoLTE, the client will be able to make voice calls over the 4G network with high voice quality and fast connection with the interlocutor.

Valery Shorzhin, EVP for Beeline Technology
The last few years have become a record for Beeline in the development of the network. Service quality is one of the cornerstones of the company's new customer-centric strategy. The Beeline Technical Directorate systematically develops all infrastructure components in the interests of the client: it increases the speed, capacity and coverage of the network. We will maintain a high rate of positive change in 2021.
