Mazen Mroue, former executive at MTN Irancell, has been named as the new Chief Operating Officer for MTN Nigeria.
He will be responsible for directing commercial and technical operations at the operator.
Mroue has 22 years’ experience in telecommunications and has served MTN in various capacities, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. Mroue joined MTN Irancell as COO in July 2014. He has also served at MTN Ghana, occupied non-executive director position at MTN Cyprus and was the Chief Executive Officer for MTN Uganda and MTN Liberia.
Mroue, a graduate of Harvard University’s Executive Programme in Leadership Development, holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, Intellectual Systems and Networks.
