The Hashgraph Association, a non-profit organization accelerating the broad adoption of the Hedera network globally, yesterday announced the appointment of Heran Shah as new Executive Director, Global Business Development. As a former Global Sales Leader at IBM, Heran will lead the growth of Hedera solutions across markets worldwide, while identifying opportunities in the new tri-dimensional world of IOT, Blockchain/DLT, and AI.
With an over 20-year tenure at IBM, Heran will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and executing on the ambitious growth plans and broad adoption of Hedera technology. Heran will manage the global business development and growth strategy of Hashgraph for Enterprises™ - Hedera’s enterprise-grade service offering for large corporations and government institutions around the globe. Additionally, Heran will lead and manage the implementation of THA’s local and regional business development and growth strategy out of the GIFT City in Gujarat, India.
As a proven leader with a strong track record in successful global business development of enterprise-grade software solutions, Heran will bring deep domain expertise in the technology sector. At IBM, Heran spearheaded the launch of major Global and Regional Blockchain networks, providing sales leadership in messaging products and ground-breaking solutions such as Internet of Things (IOT), Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
