Altice USA, one of the largest broadband communications and video services providers in the United States, on Wednesday announced that it has closed the previously announced acquisition of regional cable operator Service Electric Cable T.V. of New Jersey, for $150 million.

With this acquisition, Altice USA will be extending its footprint into neighbouring communities in New Jersey to provide its high-quality broadband, video, mobile, and news offerings to thousands of additional homes and businesses.

 

A statement by Altice USA on its Optimum website reads that, "As we work through the transition of integrating Service Electric Broadband Cable into the Optimum family, you will see a broader selection of services including improvements to your Internet & TV experiences - like new channels, faster speeds and exclusive savings on our Mobile service."
