Idea Cellular, the third largest mobile operator in India, on Tuesday announced that the company is extending its 'Easy Share' plans to prepaid subscribers that start at Rs.158 for 250MB data, including call minutes and messaging. This plan allows sharing of data for those with multiple devices like smartphones, and dongles on laptops and tablets, as well as sharing of data, minutes and SMS with their friends and families, via an easy USSD code (*121*121# ) or self-care service on their website. Idea Cellular's subscribers are given the option to transfer data packs of 100MB, 150MB and 250MB.

Idea Cellular stated that a "Customer can recharge with the Easy Share plans, and he can become a donor and transfer some benefits from his pack to Idea prepaid subscribers of his circle". The transfer however, said Idea Cellular, does not allow the received benefits to be re-transferred.

Convergence' is the new trend in technology and devices and we feel that it should also reflect in our tariff and billing planning to offer seamless user experience. For the postpaid subscriber, Easy Share plan is already available since last one year and we are now happy to introduce sharing plan for our prepaid subscribers. The plan not only helps users to share their voice and data benefits but also provides great value for money.
