The Danish telecommunications company TDC has selected Comarch to provide its business support systems (BSS).

TDC delivers a new generation of digital infrastructure across Denmark for over four million customers, rolling out fiber optic networks and launching 5G.

Having embarked on their digital transformation journey, the company was seeking a reliable partner to build BSS capabilities and facilitate the roll-out of fiber networks.

The goals of the project encompass the automation of ordering processes, transformation of business processes to increase TDC’s agility, optimization of inter-operator processes, and a reduction in operating costs. To achieve this and more, the company carefully evaluated market options before choosing Comarch as a partner. The contract was signed in December 2019. It is the first time that TDC and Comarch have worked together.

Comarch will provide TDC with its BSS solution that includes out-of-the-box products: CRM, Product Catalog, Customer Order Management, Convergent Billing System, and Application Integration Framework. Products delivered by Comarch will be used by TDC to manage all wholesale customers and related business processes connected to sales, agreements, contracts, product orders, charges and bills. Wholesale customers supported by the system will include all TDC brands, and other Danish service providers that rely on the TDC network. The solution will rely heavily on TM Forum standards, making use of TM Forum Open APIs for integration.

The Comarch system will bring a number of benefits to TDC as it includes IT applications to support a new, wholesale split business model, shorten time to market for new products and services, optimize operational costs, and reduce the overall number of IT systems. All this despite a number of challenges, such as the multitude of IT systems already in use at TDC, the need to carry out migration from legacy solutions, TDC’s complex product models, and the heavily regulated wholesale market.

In TDC Net – the infrastructure company in the TDC family, Chief Commercial Officer Robert Dogonowski is also very pleased with the new BSS system delivered by Comarch.

Antonietta Maria Mastroianni, CIO of TDC Group
We were satisfied by Comarch’s engagement, expertise and flexibility during the RFP and proof of concept stages, as well as the ability to match their out-of-the-box BSS capabilities with our requirements and support our business growth.

Robert Dogonowski, Chief Commercial Officer, TDC Net, the infrastructure company in the TDC
By sharpening the whole business process from sales, agreements, contracts, product orders, charges and bills, we increase our efficiency and at the same time, we give our customers an even more supreme experience.
