Continuing the momentum of being the first in Singapore to roll out 10Gbps UltraSpeed Broadband trials, StarHub is set to break new ground again with the launch of its integrated Optical Network Router. This solution combines an optical network terminal and a router into a single device, providing customers with blazing upload and download speeds of up to 10Gbps.

Equipped with WiFi 6 technology, one 10G LAN port and three 1G LAN ports, the router enables multiple concurrent users in one household to share a single internet connection more efficiently. It comes with an UltraSpeed Broadband subscription at no extra cost to customers. Service installation by StarHub’s friendly HubTroopers is also free-of-charge.

Traditionally, Internet Service Providers in Singapore offer Broadband subscriptions with limited download speeds of up to 2.5Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1.25Gbps. This may not be enough for Internet users today, who are data hungry and consume and create content at a higher rate. StarHub UltraSpeed overcomes this constraint through Multi-gig Wi-Fi, which provides customers with unrestricted access to fast internet connectivity. Running on StarHub’s 10G-XGS-PON network, UltraSpeed provides equal upload and download speeds on a 10Gbps backbone, and when paired with the 10Gbps integrated router, caters to the needs of the most demanding internet users.

Arthur Tang, Vice President, Consumer Business Group, StarHub

We are thrilled to introduce StarHub's new integrated router, which works beautifully with our UltraSpeed Broadband and sets new standards. With unmatched speed, convenience, and connectivity for both uploading and downloading, it enables our customers to unlock the full potential of their broadband. At StarHub, we understand that technology is constantly changing. It is our goal to stay at the forefront of these advancements, as we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers.
