China Mobile Guangdong Launches Premium 2000M Broadband Using Huawei FTTR OptiXstar F30 to Improve Digital Life Experience

On the 17th of May, China Mobile Guangdong (Guangdong Mobile for short) officially released the 2000M broadband service using Huawei's FTTR OptiXstar F30 product suite to build an all-optical foundation for home networks, improve digital experience, and usher in the era of ultra-fast broadband.

Guangdong Mobile launches the Premium 2000M Broadband service

As applications such as smart home appliance, online office, and smart education in digital home scenarios become popular, homes are gradually transformed to diversified production centers that integrate office, education, and entertainment. To ensure smooth experience in new applications and services such as 8K ultra-HD video, cloud desktop, and multi-camera live streaming, Guangdong Mobile launched the Premium 2000M broadband service to provide users with premium and smart ultra-fast broadband and digital life solutions. The Premium 2000M broadband service has upgraded the package, products, and services.

  • Package upgrade: Users can purchase an add-on package for the original package to enjoy 2000M broadband. The package includes 2000M fiber broadband, FTTR Wi-Fi, 5G data usage, and voice call minutes, meeting the communication requirements of a whole family.
  • Product upgrade: The Premium 2000M package uses Huawei's FTTR OptiXstar F30 Pro+ products, which provide 2.5 Gbps high-bandwidth LAN ports and support concurrent access by 128 smart devices. The unified networking realizes automatic roaming in the whole house, enabling users to always enjoy strong Wi-Fi and download a regular 4K movie over Wi-Fi in less than 1 minute.
  • Service upgrade: For users of the Premium 2000M broadband package, Guangdong Mobile promises to provide more professional and dedicated smart home broadband services.
  • Instant service: Installation and repair orders are handled on the same day.
  • Convenient and efficient networking services: For users who choose FTTR Wi-Fi networking, technicians customize solutions based on actual conditions. For example, invisible fibers can be routed to rooms to ensure network speed without affecting the residence decoration.

Two years after Guangdong Mobile launched the world's first gigabit FTTR Wi-Fi networking service, Huawei helps Guangdong Mobile to upgrade the broadband rate to 2000 Mbps using the Huawei FTTR OptiXstar F30 product suite. Compared with the previous-generation FTTR products, Huawei OptiXstar F30 uses the latest C-WAN architecture in the industry. This product suite uses a master FTTR unit to centrally coordinate and control Wi-Fi resources on the entire network, and realizes comprehensive upgrade in product appearance, rate, roaming, coverage, and concurrency. In a word, Huawei FTTR OptiXstar F30 is an ideal partner of Guangdong Mobile's Premium 2000M Broadband, and will accelerate the transformation and upgrade of home services to HDICT.

"With the support of ultra-fast broadband, new applications such as cloud computers and cloud games will develop rapidly", said a senior manager of Guangdong Mobile. Cloud computers do not have hardware such as CPUs, memory, and hard disks. Compared with traditional computers, cloud computers are cost-effective. Users can access data stored on the cloud and use various applications after accessing the Internet. In cloud games, computing, rendering, and storage are performed on cloud servers. Game images are transmitted to local screens in real time. Thanks to the ultra-fast 2000M broadband, Guangdong Mobile enables users to play large games smoothly without expensive terminals.

In the future, Huawei will continue to help Guangdong Mobile build high-end brands, increase the user base, improve user experience, promote smart home services, and boost the development of digital economy.
