MWC Shanghai will be taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and Kerry Hotel Pudong from the 26th to 28th of June this year. Attendees and exhibitors are expected to convene at the show for a dynamic agenda of keynote sessions, conference tracks and showcases across five halls, including Future Tech halls and the Super Hall. Under the umbrella theme of Future First, MWC Shanghai’s sub-themes are 5G and Beyond, AI Economy and Manufacturing DX.

During MWC Shanghai, the GSMA will be hosting the finalists of the GSMA-China Telecom Open Gateway Hackathon, which takes place over the course of 48 hours. The aim is for participants to transform the capabilities of the telecommunications services into innovative solutions for business and social impact. The awards ceremony will take place on 28th June at the Open Gateway DevCon at MWC Shanghai, which showcases the evolving landscape of network APIs.

The GSMA Foundry team will also be present at the GSMA Pavilion to share insights about how to take part in the GSMA Foundry IBM AI Challenge. Launched in January this year, the challenge’s focus is on practical, scalable applications that enhance telecom operations, customer experience and network efficiency. With access to IBM’s watsonx.ai, GSMA members have the opportunity to create generative artificial intelligence ideas from sandbox concept stage to commercial reality.

Registration is open to all attendees, who can apply for a complimentary pass to the event here.
