CyberRatings Test Process

CyberRatings.org provides transparency and expert guidance on cybersecurity risks through research and independent, objective product testing. The CyberRatings Q2 2024 Enterprise Firewall report features a Security Value Map™ comparing Check Point, Cisco, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Sangfor, and Versa. CyberRatings’ strict testing environment emulated real-world digital traffic scenarios, with a focus on both encrypted and unencrypted data to ensure a comprehensive assessment of each firewall’s effectiveness.

Using the CyberRatings’ Austin, Texas, facility, the organization performed an independent test of Versa NGFW against the Enterprise Firewall Test Methodology v2.2. The product was subjected to thorough testing to determine how it handled TLS/SSL 1.2 and 1.3 cipher suites, how it defended against 1,509 exploits, whether its protection could be bypassed by any of 1,569 evasions, and whether the device would remain stable under adverse conditions. To provide a more realistic rating based on modern network traffic, both clear text and encrypted traffic were measured.

Versa NGFW Delivers Industry-Leading Performance and Security

Designed for flexible deployment across cloud, virtual, and on-premises environments, Versa’s NGFW delivers protection across networks by combining advanced security, application awareness, and AI-driven threat prevention in a single scalable platform. Its unified console simplifies network security operations, ensuring high-performance and secure experiences for businesses looking to optimize efficiency without compromising on security.
