Mahindra Comviva, the global leader in providing mobility solutions, Wednesday introduced its latest version of the Smart Policy Controller Ver.5.0 that provides Operators the flexibility to offer differentiated and contextual services as well as varied data plans based on subscribers' preference and usage habits for an overall richer user experience. The Smart Policy Controller Ver.5.0 also enables other features, including data sharing options across subcriber service bundles.
According to Mahindra Comviva, the new version is designed to help service providers reduce the capital and operating expenditures for managing data traffic, and significantly increase their ROI. The solution will enhance the ability of service providers to create and launch data plans independently, enabling rapid go-to-market, reduced TCO and the ability to roll out a large bouquet of data plans for both fixed broadband and wireless networks.
The company said that the latest version of the Smart Policy Controller Ver.5.0 is capable of handling over 100 million subscribers on a single server and supports Convergent Data Plans via single subscriber identification. This feature allows subscribers to have one data plan that can be used across multiple networks such as 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, fixed broadband and Wi-MAX, regardless of the number of devices.
